“I want to do my part to ensure that Americans stay healthy and to help those who are going hungry by sponsoring this food drive for the residents of our community,” explains Dr. Shluper. He elaborates further by saying $39 will improve a person’s dental health and feed two families at the same time.

Bloomfield dentist Dr. Edward Shluper is helping residents of Bloomfield and surrounding communities during this difficult economic period by providing free emergency dental treatment on Friday, Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dr. Shluper notes that many people have lost their dental coverage due to the poor economy and are having to forgo preventive dental care, which places them in danger of tooth decay and gum disease that contributes to problems associated with diabetes, liver and heart problems.

The free dental treatments will be given at Dr. Shluper’s office, located at 301 Belleville Ave.,Bloomfield.

The Emergency Dental Treatment Day is intended to treat anyone (adult or child) for free who cannot afford dentistry.

“Anyone with a dental emergency or in need of a cleaning who cannot afford it otherwise will be provided with emergency dental treatment at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis,” says Dr. Shluper.

What is Heart Disease?
